Dental Hygiene
A dental prophylaxis or "Prophy" is a cleaning procedure that is performed to thoroughly remove plaque, tartar, or tough calcium deposits from the teeth. A Dental Prophylaxis is the most important dental treatment for halting the progression of gingivitis and periodontal disease. It is typically recommended by the American Dental Association to have your teeth cleaned every six month to maintain optimal oral and dental health.
